Victory Farm Collective

What is a farm collective?

A farm collective brings local farms together in bringing their products to consumers, reducing overhead sales and delivery costs for the farms and providing consumers with greater access to local farm products.  Victory Farm Collective will offer fresh fruits and vegetables.

Why did I start Victory Farm Collective?

My typical summer job was put on hold summer 2020 due to COVID-19, so I decided to start my own business...a farm collective, where I utilize fruits and vegetables grown on my family's farm and gather other fresh produce grown in the Finger Lakes region to put together boxes for customers each week.

We (my mom and I) considered a lot of different names, but decided on the name Victory Farm Collective as we thought about how people planted Victory Gardens during World War II to provide not just food, but hope.  In the midst of the pandemic, Victory Farm Collective seemed an appropriate name as we planted our victory garden in the backyard.

2023 Collective Details

The 2023 collective will run for 9 weeks, from June 14 - August 9.  The season will be shorter again this year, as I head back to Colorado State University mid-August to continue my studies in horticulture - food crop production and to run cross country there.  Pick-up or delivery will be on Wednesday evening.  If you choose the pick-up option, you will have the option to visit the website and pay for delivery separately for a specific week if needed.   Those choosing the weekly payment option, will need to order a box no later than Sunday at 11:59pm in order to pick-up a box for the week.

Box contents will vary from week to week, with the later season offering a greater variety.  For those picking up each week, there will be options for swapping items you don't want, and some weeks will feature the ability to choose some items that go into your box.

The produce will come in a crate the first week, with the idea of swapping the crate each week.  Crates will be cleaned and sanitized then used again the following week.  If you don't return your crate, you will receive the contents of your crate in a paper bag.
